The protection of your privacy and your data is the very reason RagOff was built. RagOff is installable software, geared towards strictly local ("on-premise") Artificial Intelligence processing. This policy explains how we handle your privacy when you use our website or our desktop application.

1. Your Data and Documents (100% Local Processing)

The core principle of RagOff is the absolute privacy of user documents.

• All vector processing (RAG), semantic searches, folder indexing, and language generation (LLM) occur locally on your own hardware (CPU/GPU).
• RagOff does not transmit the contents of your files, PDFs, databases, or your chat history (prompts) to our servers, nor to third-party cloud servers (such as OpenAI or Google).
• We do not collect or use your local documents to train any kind of centralized AI. Your data belongs solely to you and never leaves your device.

2. Data Collected by the Application (Telemetry and Licensing)

Because RagOff is not a Software as a Service (SaaS) model, the desktop application's online interactions are limited to two critical functions:

• License Validation: To verify the integrity of your license and prevent piracy, the application makes periodic communications (pings) to our servers. These calls are limited to sending the activated License Key, a hash of your Hardware ID (to tie it to the device/seat), and the requesting machine's IP address.
• Optional Error Reporting: If voluntarily enabled by the user in the app settings, RagOff may send technical bug reports (crash dumps). These reports contain data about the software's memory state, and our interface will attempt to anonymize any contextual text. We recommend that users dealing with strictly confidential information (e.g., medical records, legal data) keep this feature turned off.

3. Billing and Payments (Merchant of Record - Paddle)

To provide maximum security in financial transactions, RagOff uses Paddle.com as its official billing platform and Merchant of Record (global reseller responsible). Thus:

• When you purchase a license, the transaction, including the secure collection and storage of your credit card data and billing details, occurs entirely on Paddle's servers and infrastructure.
• RagOff never receives or stores your credit card details on our server. We receive from Paddle only the information we need to issue the key (e.g., your name, receipt email, and payment status).
• Financial privacy and data protection policies are subject to Paddle.com's Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies and Website Use

When you visit our presentation website (e.g., ragoff.com), we use standard technologies, such as necessary Cookies and analytical Cookies (if consented to), to measure page visits and optimize the site's usability for downloads. These website browsing cookies have no relation to the isolation or use of the RagOff desktop software on your local machine.
